Our story

From an Instagram travel journal to the worldwide app for Jewish travelers.

How 30+ countries, hundreds of Chabad Houses visited, and a viral Instagram account gave birth to Chabad Everywhere.

Traveling to the other side of the world, settling in a new city as an expat, or simply looking for a warm place to spend Shabbat… For Jewish travelers, the first question is almost always the same: "Is there a Chabad House nearby?" It's from this universal need that Chabad Everywhere was born.

The realization: an exceptional Chabad-Lubavitch worldwide network

If there's one thing that defines the Chabad-Lubavitch movement, it's its global presence. Inspired by the Rebbe's vision, thousands of Shluchim (emissaries) left everything to settle in the most remote corners of the globe. Their mission? Making sure no Jew ever feels alone, wherever they are — by offering kosher meals, prayer services, and human warmth.

Yet in the digital age, what was missing was a centralized, modern and intuitive tool to instantly connect travelers with these centers of Jewish life.

The spark: 30 countries and a viral Instagram account

The idea behind Chabad Everywhere wasn't born in an office, but in the field, backpack on the shoulder. After traveling through more than thirty countries and walking through the doors of hundreds of Chabad Houses around the world, the need to share this experience became obvious.

2023
April. Launch of the Instagram account @chabad_everywhere to share these encounters and showcase the warmth of these homes open to all.
2024
The account goes viral. It becomes an interactive directory. Private messages flood in: travelers looking for an address, a Shabbat, a Minyan. We answer, guide, and personally connect them with the local Shliach.
2025
100K+ travelers helped. Daily mutual aid intensifies. The idea of a dedicated app becomes obvious. First development steps begin.
2026
The app is born. To help at scale and give every user true autonomy, everything is centralized into a website and a mobile app.

"Make sure no Jewish traveler
ever feels alone, wherever they are in the world."

From manual help to the first worldwide Chabad app

Playing intermediary on social media was rewarding, but to help as many travelers as possible, we had to go further. Centralizing everything on a dedicated website and mobile app became the obvious next step.

The goal? Letting every user be fully autonomous to organize their Jewish trip, with all the reliable information right in their pocket.

Our mission: connecting travelers and emissaries

Chabad Everywhere isn't just a directory of community centers — it's the culmination of a human journey. Our goal is twofold.

Make travelers' lives easier

With geolocation, a clear interface and reliable info, you always know where to find your "home away from home" — schedules, addresses, kosher restaurants nearby.

Support the Shluchim

Give them optimal digital visibility and a practical tool to manage visits and bookings, so they can focus on what matters most: welcoming people.
